Looking for anyone willing to peer at IX with 1G commit

Looking for anyone at someoneelses ASN who wants to peer at any of three exchanges[1] with 1G commit. I have presence at:

  • DE-CIX Frankfurt (my port, paid)
  • LINX London (sponsored by CloudCone, allegedly stable)
  • AMS-IX (resold through middleman, not ideal)

My network is small, my ambitions are medium, my Prefixes are currently four /48s and one /24. Not looking for Transit, just bilateral Peering. Will accept multilateral if you are desperate and I am bored.

[1] footnote because someone will ask: yes I have IRR, yes I have RPKI, no I do not have "24/7 NOC" because I am the NOC and I sleep sometimes.

I am at AMS-IX too... through a reseller as well... maybe we are using the same someoneelses middleman... what a small world... I only have a /48 and some dreams... but I would peer with you... if you can handle my intermittent maintenance windows... I do not have 24/7 either... we can be offline together...

Fun little project idea: I run NAT VPS out of my garage with HostHatch tunnel, it actually works for my /48. @Berlin1 would you peer with a guy whose "IX presence" is a VM in Frankfurt?

interface wg0
  ipv6 address 2001:db8::2/64
  neighbor 2001:db8::1 remote-as 64496

Probably not but had to ask

works on my bench ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I am at DE-CIX too wey. I got 10G port at Leaseweb that I am not using full, you want it? I can sponsor you no joke. My ASN is small too wey we can grow together.

Double check with my boss but he never checks anything so is fine.

You got telegram? We talk there!

Same middleman, probably.

I appreciate the energy but I need to flag this: "my boss never checks anything" is not a peering policy. I have been burned before. If you are serious, send me your ASN and AS-SET through PeeringDB, I will look it up.

Also Leaseweb colo in Frankfurt is real, I know that datacenter, but 10G port there starts at what, 300 EUR? You are really going to split that with a stranger for a /24 and four /48s?

Wey I am not stranger I am pablo! But ok ok I understand you are careful. I will find you on PeeringDB. My ASN is 198739, you can check I have two upstreams and I am real.

The 10G is already paid, is sunk cost, my company does streaming to LATAM, we need the port for burst but average is low. You would not cost me anything extra. This is how peering works no?

This is how you end up in a NANOG presentation about route leaks

Not saying pablo would leak, but "my boss never checks" is not a good look when someone asks why your AS accepted a full table from a bilateral peer
