I run a small rack in Karachi. For my test VMs I just use Proxmox on a Hetzner dedicated in Falkenstein, nested KVM. Hourly billing is meaningless when you own the metal. Contabo never made sense for my use case.

Lee_mcr did you try just asking for account credit instead of refund? Sometimes they say no to cash but yes to keeping it in-system. Not ideal but better than total loss.
