Hostinger suspended me for 'resource abuse' but won't say what

Right then... got the dreaded "resource abuse" suspension from Hostinger... proper gutted... no details in the email... just "your account violated our resource usage policy"... Cheers lads... love a mystery...

Opened a ticket asking what specifically... got a copy-paste about shared resources and fair use... asked again... same paste... third time I got "we are unable to disclose specific metrics for security reasons"... security reasons... for my own account...

So I'm documenting the appeal here in real-time... currently on hour 18 of downtime... will update when I know more... anyone else had this dance with Hostinger or similar...

Hostinger wants money for what a $6 GreenCloudVPS instance handles with docker compose and a reverse proxy... I run twenty services this way... no arbitrary suspensions... no mystery tickets... just you and your own resource monitoring... friendly preachiness here but honestly this is why I left shared hosting in 2021... the powerlessness... the opacity... with self-hosting you get netdata... you get cadvisor... you know exactly what every container is doing...

That said if you're stuck in appeal hell now... check for forgotten cron jobs... old wordpress plugins with heartbeat loops... backup scripts that never terminate... I've seen all three burn people on shared hosts... the hosts never tell you because they assume you'll fix and stay... or they want you gone...
