$230 buys a used OptiPlex, docker compose your whole stack, reverse proxy with Traefik, no billing system to fail you. I run 14 services on a $15/month residential line. The credit is nice but you're still renting.

Did this last year. Bandwidth pricing alone saved me 200 EUR monthly. The catch is you become your own DBA, your own SRE, your own everything. Hetzner gives you a server and a panel. The rest is yours.

OVHcloud's "investigating" status has been up for six hours with no update. At what point does "investigating" become "we broke it and went home"?

So the real answer is: there is no sub-$10 solution for 5Gbps volumetric. The thread title should be "Looking for DDoS mitigation that doesn't exist." You need either money or acceptance of downtime.
