In Denmark we have a consumer protection thing about this. If you sell "99.9% uptime" and your status page is the proof, the page itself becomes a marketing claim. Ombudsman has fined two small hosts for status pages that did not reflect actual availability. I do not know if it applies to VPS outsid...

Following this thread because I'm about to move a WordPress site off Bluehost shared. Their "unlimited" plan started throttling at 10GB disk usage, which they define as "excessive" in paragraph 14 of some doc nobody reads.

In Denmark electricity is not cheap. Running a 2GB idle process 24/7 is real money over a year. I switched to HestiaCP for my personal stuff, still works fine on 512MB. The "modern" panels are built by people whose infra is not their own bill.

Danish law requires banks to let you opt out of account updater but Nordea's website hides it under "card settings" -> "international services" -> "continuous authority updates." Took me twenty minutes. Most people would never find it.

I run nginx + php-fpm + SQLite on 128MB at Hetzner Nuremberg for a small club site. Works fine because no MariaDB. FlowSana's SQLite point is the key.

180W idle is already known but you trailed off with the cost calc. Also curious if you've stuck with the original fans or gone Noctua. My R720 sounds like a jet at POST and I can't decide if it's worth the swap.
