Made VPS last month, sir. Contabo shared plan before, now Vultr VPS 4 vCPU 8GB. Expected faster. But GTmetrix worse. Shared: 1.2s LCP. VPS: 2.8s LCP. Same site. Debian 12 both. Nginx, PHP 8.2, MariaDB. Tuned buffers, bro. Enabled opcache. Added swap. Still slow. Thank you very much

Config attached,:
- Vultr VPS: 4 vCPU, 8GB, NVMe
- Contabo shared: unknown specs, cPanel
- WordPress 6.5, no page builder
- Same plugins both,

traffic worse than my packet loss

You sure Vultr gave you actual 4 vCPU and not burstable? Their ARM plans are solid but the x86 side can be oversold hard. Check your steal time with top or iostat, bet it is through the roof.

Sorry for silly question, but could shared host have something hidden? I moved from cheap to expensive once and got slower too. Was scared I broke something. Did you check if they had special caching? I didn't know to check and felt dumb after.

frames, tables, still valid HTML

Hidden cache

4 vCPU but what generation? Vultr uses old E5s sometimes.

I had the same thing happen with a VPS once

What's the Vultr datacenter location? Some are oversold.
