Blast radius of their absence is widening attack surface of noob questions grows daily zero trust in new accounts answering old threads

Check your resolver

The TTL on institutional memory here is shorter than people think. Propagation of knowledge requires authoritative sources, and when those sources expire without renewal, you get NXDOMAIN for expertise.

dig +trace forum.history shows the veterans delegated themselves to new zones. Some delegated to /dev/null, which is the burnout path. Others delegated to corporate resolvers behind NDAs, which is the employment path.

traceroute to one who left shows last hop at a cloud provider with aggressive IP reputation filtering — https://ipinfo.io. They are there, but not responding to ICMP from this origin.
