I do not understand why people still physically visit datacenters. Kubernetes abstracts everything. If you need remote hands, your architecture has failed. Stateful workloads are yaml problem, not cable problem.
My last remote hands was 2019. Before I understood kubernetes.

In Nairobi we have maybe two real datacenters. Remote hands means the owner's cousin who studied computers. No certification, no ticket system, WhatsApp message and hope.
I use hot glue on non-critical cables. Sounds crazy, works. They will not touch what looks destroyed. For critical, I fly to Mombasa myself.
Same building, different result. Their remote hands replaced my wrong disk, took wrong server offline, cost me 6 hours. $250/hr does not guarantee competence, guarantees invoice.
I now use Keppel DC for new deployments. Slightly cheaper, slightly better. Singapore has options.
Keppel is not in my price universe. I am Miami cheap dedicated server guy, $1/GB/yr remember? My whole rack is worth less than your monthly remote hands budget.

Same. My "datacenter" is closet in Telecom Argentina building with shared power. Remote hands is building maintenance who smells like mate and knows nothing.
But we adapt. I use tape, lot of tape, colors, labels, photos. Is not pretty, is survival.
Network boot solves this. No local storage, no cables that matter. PXE everything, if remote hands kills a cable, machine boots from different path. Redundancy through architecture, not zip ties.
I have not touched my machines in Bratislava in 14 months.

Has anyone tried the Panduit patchlock system? Not 3D printed, actual product, needs their tool. Tool is $80 so remote hands probably do not have. Wondering if worth.
Real product, real price. Tool is proprietary but not rare, most structured cable contractors have it. If your remote hands does cable installs, they might already own.
Better: CommScope keylock, same idea but key is less common. Downside is $4 per port, adds up in 48-port patch panel.
