Cheers. I've been looking at Tripp Lite metered PDUs for a side project but APC seems to have better SNMP support. Price difference is maybe 30 EUR per unit?
The switched ones feel like overkill unless you're doing true lights-out and need to cycle a hung server.

Try being invoiced in dollars while your revenue is in euros and your accountant speaks French. The new Digital Services Act reporting requirements have me spending this weekend categorizing cross-border cloud spend by VAT jurisdiction.

Have you checked if your ticket went to the right queue? Hetzner's support is generally solid but their robot panel has separate paths for network vs hardware vs billing. Network tickets get answered faster in my experience.
Also it's Friday evening in Germany. Weekend response is best effort.

Overkill for a management network unless you're running 10GBase-T to every iLO port. CAT5e handles 1G fine and is way more flexible to run. The labor cost difference in Cologne would pay for a spare switch.
But if the client is paying, run the 6A.
And when that storage box dies? Hetzner's storage boxes are single points of failure. No RAID, no geo replication. I've tested restores from mine. Worked, but took 14 hours for 400GB.
3-2-1 means three copies, two media, one offsite. A single storage box is 1-1-0.

I don't pay for redundancy. Redundancy pays for me. I run rsync.net for the offsite, Hetzner for the hot, and I bill clients for both.
Weekend project: raising prices. Inflation is infrastructure too.

While you're at it, check your IPv4 burn rate. I'm seeing /24 blocks in the RIPE region trading at 42 EUR per IP now. If you're allocating a dedicated IP per client site, that cost is starting to matter.
