Hey everyone! Ana here from Vultr. We got a small batch of 4GB RAM KVM VPS going live today — $20/year, yearly only. Two locations: Madrid and Miami. Stock is pretty limited so wanted to post before they vanish!

  • 1 vCPU
  • 4GB RAM
  • 50GB SSD
  • 2TB bandwidth on 1Gbit port

KVM with VNC console. Sent ticket yesterday to our Madrid upstream to confirm extra IPs won't be issue, all good now.

$20/YR for 4GB ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I was tracking Vultr since last black friday, this is LOWEST price ever for 4GB tier. Last year cheapest I saw was like €28 from OVHcloud and that sold in 20 minutes.

I paid €14 for 2gb last month from contabo.com and thought that was good deal but this is a lot better

Made test order in madrid, got confirm email in like 2 mins

Not insane. My cheapest is still that Hetzner 1GB NAT box at €4/month (€4/GB lol).

But for KVM with dedicated IPv4? Yeah this wins.

Grabbed Madrid, gonna yabs it later and compare to my RackNerd 4GB in Amsterdam.

Miami stock still showing?

Is the renewal price the same or does it jump up?? I got burned last time with a host that was $15 first year then $45 after

Also is the 2TB enough for like a small plex server or should I look elsewhere?? Thank you!!

IMO the Miami route to South America is underrated, YMMV though. Take it with a grain of salt but I've seen better peering from Madrid to EU than most budget hosts.

@carlos2 they had crypto briefly last year, maybe poke Ana about it.

@sarahjey 2TB is plenty for personal plex, just direct stream don't transcode.
