My provider silently moved my vm
To a slower node overnight
Cpu and disk are both worse now
Has anyone else dealt with this
What actually works to get moved back
They migrated my VM to a worse node without asking
1. Happened to me on RackNerd last month
2. Benchmarks dropped exactly 41%
3. My workaround:
3a) run sysbench cpu
3b) run fio disk test
3c) screenshot results
3d) open ticket with "noisy neighbor suspected"
4. Got migrated again within 48 hours
5. New node was actually better than original
6. Ymmv
