The disappearing art of the negative review update

Something's been bothering me since I migrated my last CS 1.6 server off a dying box. Back in the Source engine days, server communities lived or died by reputation threads. You'd post a negative review, the provider would fix the tickrate issue or whatever, and you'd come back to say "resolved." Now? Kids play Valorant now, nobody runs dedicated servers, and these hosting forums are graveyards of one-star posts with no follow-up.

I propose we normalize the update post. Thread isn't dead until OP says it's dead. The community deserves closure, and honestly providers probably benefit too from showing they actually fix things.

Thoughts? Or is this just me mourning another dead community?

IMO this is a solid instinct but YMMV depending on the provider's size. Some of the smaller shops here actually do read every thread and a follow-up helps them more than it helps future customers. Take it with a grain of salt though, I have seen cases where the update gets weaponized against the customer later. Balance matters.
