Is 2026 and I have the server good from RackNerd since 2016. The AWS and the Vultr always say "migrate, migrate" but how much cost the migration? Zero, because I do not do it.

The plan is old, very old. 2GB RAM, 1 core, 50GB disk. Is slow? Yes. Is reliable? Also yes. Uptime 99.97% in ten years. The RackNerd forget to update the pricing, I think. I pay same from 2016.

¿Why I post?¡ Because the inertia is sometimes strategy good. Who else have box old with price grandfathered?

My LLM inference box costs 40x that in VRAM alone

But fr tho, what cpu is it? Sandy bridge? You could probably run a 1B parameter model on that thing if you wanted to suffer

Check your resolver. If they changed NS records and you did not notice, you might not be talking to the same infrastructure from 2016. TTL on their zone is 3600, propagation would be fast. Tracepath from your end to verify path stability. Ten years same IP or same hostname?

Same ip since 2016; no changes; 3 outages total; 2 were my fault; 1 was upstream; ticket resolved in 4 hours; 10/10 would hoard again
