Following this thread because I need to make the same decision. Currently on one DigitalOcean droplet for everything, which is probably worse than all of your setups. $12/month, I babysit it myself, updates at 3am when I remember.
The reseller panel conversation is interesting. I looked at KnownHost too but their Amsterdam latency from my users in Nairobi is 180ms. Hostinger's Mumbai is 140ms. Small difference but for WordPress admin it matters.
From Reykjavik their Amsterdam is 35ms, London 42ms. The Phoenix datacenter is 110ms and I learned that the hard way when a client got geolocated wrong. Hostinger moved the account to Amsterdam for free but it took a ticket.
This is the "know one system cold" advantage. I know which datacenters work for which clients. I have notes on every support agent's competence level. Spread that across five hosts and you need a wiki.
I had 8 clients on InterServer like beto60, then one client's site got flagged for "excessive inode usage" which was actually a runaway WordPress cache. InterServer suspended the whole shared account, not just the one site. All 8 clients down. Took 6 hours to resolve because I had to escalate past tier 1.
Now I split: InterServer for the quiet clients, Hostinger for the WordPress chaos. The incident taught me that "one host" means "one point of failure in ways you don't expect."
Has anyone used KnownHost's migration service? They advertise "free cPanel migration" but my stuff isn't cPanel, it's their native hPanel. I asked sales and got three different answers in one chat. That inconsistency is why I haven't moved. A reseller panel that works is worth more than a reseller panel that's "cleaner" if I spend a week learning its edge cases.
Also @reykjavik_doc your Hetzner backup is smart. I should do that instead of paying Hostinger for "daily backups" that I don't trust.
