Reseller hosting is dead

Back in my day we ran CS 1.6 servers on shared boxes and built communities that lasted years. Kids play Valorant now, no loyalty, no tickrate matters anymore.

VPS prices dropped to nothing. You can spin up a OVHcloud instance in 30 seconds, run some automation, and you're your own host. No middleman. No oversold cPanel license eating your margin.

Reseller hosting was for people who couldn't compile from source. Now every kid with a GitHub account has Infrastructure as Code. The model made sense when hardware was expensive and you needed someone else's source engine expertise to keep things running.

RIP reseller hosting. Another community dead, another server browser empty.

I think is not so simple, no? I have client who tried HostHatch VPS and got stuck with DNS, SSL, updates... sent ticket yesterday to help him move back to storage VPS plan!

Automation is nice but not everyone wants to be sysadmin. Made test order with Hostinger reseller last month for friend, worked perfect. Cheers! — https://www.hostinger.com
