I have been running Apache on a low-end Contabo instance for 18 months. Uptime is 99.97%, the graphs do not lie. But every time I need to configure something beyond virtual hosts, I hit the same wall. The official documentation is English-only. The Spanish translations on the Apache site are from 2015 and cover version 2.2. The advanced modules, mod_proxy_html, mod_security configuration examples, all assume I can parse technical English at native speed.

I have tried GreenCloudVPS community tutorials, InterServer forums, nothing in Spanish goes past basic LAMP stack. Status pages for Spanish-language resources show 404 or last updated 2019. This is not alert fatigue. This is a real gap. Where are the Spanish-speaking Apache experts documenting their work?

My 42U rack at home, 15A circuit, the wife not happy about power bill. I measured 340W idle. But back to your point, I found one blog from Argentina, guy documented mod_ssl with actual oscilloscope shots of handshake timing. 47ms vs 12ms. No idea if still online. I bookmarked on old laptop.

And this is the thing and I keep thinking about it and I keep finding these dead links and these abandoned blogs and the people who knew this stuff they moved on to nginx or they moved to kubernetes or they got jobs at Vultr or HostHatch and stopped writing and the knowledge just sits there in English and the Spanish speakers are supposed to just figure it out and I spent three hours last week on a mod_rewrite issue that would have taken twenty minutes if the Spanish tutorial had covered the [L] flag properly and it did not and I had to guess and test and guess again and the cycle continues and nobody updates anything and the forums die and the discord servers are all English-only too and it is just exhausting.

As said, we built our own. Here is what exists in Spanish, as far as my bookmarks show:

  • Blog.example.com (mod_deflate, mod_expires, 2023)
  • Apache.example.com (dead since 2024, archive.org has partial)

I will translate mod_proxy_html docs to Spanish. I need the practice. Two weeks. No charge.

The 2015 translations are useless for current modules.
