Canceled a VPS with OVHcloud on March 10. Got billed March 17 anyway. Ticket #NW-44812 still unanswered after 48 hours.
What I did
- canceled via control panel
- received confirmation email
- took screenshot of cancellation page
Now they say "no record found." Simple is better so I keep records. Anyone else.

Took screenshot of cancellation page
Good idea. I never make a screenshot. I will start now.
I had same problem with Vultr https://www.vultr.com last year. They charged me for two month after I cancel. I used PayPal. They fix it only after I open dispute. Regards

THE CANCEL GOES THROUGH BUT THE BILLING SYSTEM DOESNT GET THE HOOK
To be honest this tracks.
- OVHcloud payment methods: Stripe, PayPal legacy, crypto
- PayPal legacy endpoint: /v1/billing/cancel (deprecated 2023)
- webhook timeout: 30s
- fallback behavior: mark as "pending" not "canceled"
I found 7 similar cases in my ticket history from 2024. All PayPal legacy. All "no record found."
As said, they know. They just do not fix it because volume is low.
