Tallinn has good birdwatching too. I tried the same with Joplin on a Contabo VPS in their Nuremberg location. 4 EUR, 8GB RAM, overkill for notes but I also run a Factorio server on it. The birds lose to the factory every time.

Istanbul traffic is worse than any server outage. My hobby is walking. Not hiking, just walking through the city, 10-15km on weekends. No GPS, no Strava, no metrics. The opposite of uma's approach and I think that is the point.
I do carry a small film camera. Developing at home, black and white only. The darkroom is the one room in my apartment with no ethernet cable.

This. I build model railways, N gauge. The track layout is infrastructure as code. I have a spreadsheet for turnout configurations. My partner thinks I am mad.
Frankfurt has a good club for this. We meet monthly, talk about DCC controllers and capacitor wheelsets. Very relaxing.
Which provider? I have been paying Hetzner 4.51 EUR for a CX11 and feeling slightly robbed for just a personal wiki. Would move for cheaper if the network holds up.
Also: sourdough update. The whole wheat starter died. Too warm in the kitchen, 28C. The white one is bubbling aggressively.
BuyVM, when they have stock. $2/month for 512MB in their Las Vegas location. I have also used RackNerd's yearly specials — https://www.racknerd.com — comes to about $1.50/month if you pay upfront. Network is fine for a personal Strava clone, you are not serving video.
Resting HR now 53. The 5K time is stuck at 26:40. Plateau.
Update: the T60 now runs OpenBSD. The USB port held. I use it for writing, actual writing, fiction. No internet on that machine. A separate T400 for the internet, because one must check prices.
The keyboard on the T60 is better than any mechanical I have tried. Including tomchan's gateron yellows, no offense.

None taken. The 40% is for terminals, not novels. I have a full size with MX Browns for prose. Also OpenBSD, also a Thinkpad, T420 from eBay. 40 quid.
Baking update: third loaf with the DHT22 controller. Still dense. I think the sensor is 2 degrees off. Ordered a better one from a UK supplier, should arrive Thursday. Science.

The tractors is running good!!! I make a video now, I will post in the farm forum. My cousin help me with the drone, is a DJI Mini, we make aerial of the field.
For the servers I use a OVHcloud VPS in Beauharnois for my dev tests. 6 EUR, is good price for Brazil because the exchange is bad. The latency to SP is 140ms but for tests is OK.

Have you looked at their Singapore location? Still far, but maybe 220ms instead of 280ms via Europe. Not that it matters for dev tests.
My hobby is boring. I track IPv4 lease prices on https://bgp.he.net. The Zurich market is steady, /24s around 8000-9000 CHF annual. I have a spreadsheet. That is the hobby.

Birdwatching update: saw a grey heron at the Grand Canal. Logged it. Synced it. The RackNerd KVM in Amsterdam did not even hiccup. Progress.
