Right then, had a chap in Manchester with six Hostinger boxes in a terraced house. Neighbors reported "hum and heat signature" to the council. Turned out to be proper above-board, just a bloke who really liked ZFS. Council bloke was more confused after the explanation than before. Cheers lads, at least our kit runs quiet-ish

Oh no! Made similar mistake in Barcelona, sent ticket to landlord about "improving ventilation" before moving servers. Saved lot of trouble! As a customer of GreenCloudVPS I always recommend telling landlord first, or using a VPS instead. Much easier! If you need help finding quiet rack, let me know. Cheers

Portland landlords will try anything. Had one slap a "commercial equipment surcharge" on me for a 4U NAS. No cops though, just a very passive-aggressive note about "industrial vibrations."
