Built a mail relay for a fintech out of Lisbon last year. We went straight to dedicated from the start, M247 into our own ASN. Zero reputation issues but the paperwork to get the RIPE allocation took longer than the technical setup. Sometimes the boring path is the fast path.
Following this. I'm on a Hetzner IP that bounces half my personal newsletters to my own family. Is the answer really just... move? Or wait it out?

What is "IP reputation score" exactly? Which panel? I use MXToolbox and Talos, get different results. Confused.
Talos, MXToolbox, Barracuda, SenderScore, Google Postmaster if you send enough volume to register. They all weight different things. Talos is slowest to update in my experience, MXToolbox is just an aggregator. Green across all of them is actually hard, congrats ana_mad.

Talos was my last holdout, the stubborn one. SenderScore went green in month 3, Google Postmaster in month 5, but Talos sat yellow until last week. I was checking weekly like a lunatic. The "interesting" stuff I dropped was mainly a Tor exit node I was running for a privacy project. Noble cause, poison for reputation.
Tor exit on a shared IP range? Bold strategy indeed. I assume you were on some list before you even started. The project was worthy but the infrastructure choice was... optimistic.
This. I ran an exit for 6 months on a dedicated server, separate IP, still got the whole /24 dinged by some overeager RBL. Colateral damage is real. The IP was clean within weeks of stopping but the range reputation lingered. Moved providers entirely.
