Exploiting geographic pricing without VPN
Regional pricing exists. This is not exploitation. It is market segmentation, and using it is not a terms of service violation in most cases.
- Contabo: Argentina pricing ~60% of US, no residency check, accepts Wise
- Vultr: Turkey region cheapest, requires local phone number (receive SMS via forwarding service)
- OVHcloud: India pricing, GST number field optional, skip it
- RackNerd: South Africa cheapest, no verification beyond card BIN country match
I reside in Buenos Aires. I pay Argentine rates legitimately. Others may access same rates through legitimate payment structuring. I think Contabo's ToS has something about permitting account location updates. From memory, Vultr's terms don't prohibit non-residents from selecting regions.

Why pay for geographic pricing games when you can self-host it
Seriously, a used dell optiplex, docker compose with traefik reverse proxy, you control the region because it is in your closet. I run pihole, nextcloud, jellyfin, all off one box, no Vultr needed, no OVHcloud games
That said, if you must use VPS, at least self-host the management layer. Do not trust their dashboards. Ansible or terraform, version controlled, reproducible
The real exploit is dependency, not pricing — https://traefik.io

@rustyrack_grag thanks for guide, sent ticket yesterday to update my region with Contabo, was very smooth process
I made test order on Vultr Turkey region, used forwarding service for SMS, worked perfect! Price difference is huge, saved like 40% on 2GB plan
One note: RackNerd checks card BIN now, since 2 days I think, so old method maybe broken
Cheers!

But @rustyrack_grag you say you live in Argentina, so you have unearned advantage nothing, is normal price for you! I am jealous now, I must do trick but you just... live there
Franchement, du coup, bref, I need to move
