Looking for IPv6-only deals (yes really)

Hey folks! Gonna be straight with you — I'm super stoked about going v6-only for my side project. Tired of NAT headaches, CGNAT nonsense, want clean addresses. Budget is tight, this is just a fun experiment. Anyone seen actual IPv6-only offers under $3/month? Not dual-stack, not 'v6 ready' — v6 ONLY. I know it's niche but figured I'd ask!

The OVHcloud has IPv6-only VPS yes very cheap no IPv4 not included the Routing is good but the Network troubleshooting is harder without LegacyIP the Support ticket response time is acceptable yes you must use NAT64 for GitHub and similar Services no not all Providers offer this the Documentation is often lacking

The wife says no more power draw so I'm looking at offloading some stuff. IPv6-only would save me a few watts per box no NAT table overhead. Measured it. Anyone know actual idle draw comparison? Also RackNerd has v6-only but their panel is v4-required for access, ironic

My clients would never go for this but I'm curious for my own infrastructure. Premium IPv6-only is the future, I've been saying this. Support ticket with Hostinger says they have 'premium v6 plans coming' but no timeline. My clients need reliability so I can't experiment yet. What's the actual SLA on these budget offers?

Fun little project! I got a NAT VPS from Time4VPS for €2/month, tunneled IPv6 over it with wireguard, now I have a /64 at home. But actual IPv6-only hosting? Hetzner had one but killed it. KnownHost still does, $2.50/month, no NAT64 though — you bring your own or use public NAT64 like TREX.
# /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 2001:67c:2b0::4

It actually works for most stuff. Cloudflare fronts my site anyway. I used https://www.wireguard.com for the tunnel.

works on my bench ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

KnownHost's IPv6-only product prefixes are 2001:db8:1::/48, announced with BGP community 64512:666 (do not export to IPv4 peers). No RPKI ROA yet, which is concerning. They peer at three exchanges but lack IRR route objects for v6-specific prefixes. Transit pricing for v6-only is theoretically lower — no ARIN/RIPE fees for IPv4 space — but savings rarely pass to consumer. NAT64 using 464XLAT (RFC 6877) is more robust than DNS64 alone for applications with hardcoded IPv4 literals. Check if your provider offers CLAT or you'll break more than you expect.

iBGP, eBGP, don't care, just peer

OVHcloud under €3? They never publish pricing.

Beauharnois is in my backyard practically and I still can't get straight pricing out of them. Belgian consumer law would eat them alive for this. You call that transparency?

Yes this is correct you must configure in cart to see the price the IPv6-only VPS is approximately €3.50 for 1 vCore 2 GB RAM but sometimes promotion for €2.99 the Network is stable but the DDoS protection is only for IPv4 the IPv6 is unprotected this is important detail

€3.50 is not under $3. I have been doing this too long. OVHcloud support once told me my IPv6 reverse DNS was "not a priority feature" after I waited 11 days. That was 2019. I checked last month. Still not fixed on that account.
