Looking for host that doesn't use SolusVM

Gg wp solusvm, my minecraft box got doxxed in 2019 and I still lag thinking about it. Looking for a budget host that doesn't use it, figured this forum would know. My valheim server can't handle another breach, the lag from anxiety alone is killing my tickrate. Found like three providers under $10/mo and they ALL run solusvm. What gives? Is there some secret club I'm not in?

Most hosts have patched or moved to custom forks. Have you looked at Contabo or OVHcloud? Both run proprietary panels in my testing. windows server vps options there too, if you're open to it.

My 42u rack at home, 15A circuit, the wife hates it. Measured power draw on my old solusvm node: 187w idle. Here's the pdu display. Anyway I moved to Vultr, they use some custom thing. No photos of their panel, sorry, they don't let you screenshot it for some reason. Tracks my kwh obsessively now, 0.14 per.

Anyway idk why I do this but I wrote a scraper at 3am to check what panels budget hosts use

#!/bin/bash
# 3am nonsense
curl -sI racknerd.com | grep -i "solus"

Found 23 of 47 running it still. 💀

Hetzner uses proxmox with a skin. RackNerd too. Not great but not solusvm. Your minecraft box deserves better probably.

It is understood that value-added redistribution opportunities are best leveraged through partner ecosystem synergies. The platform utilized by upstream infrastructure providers is not to be disclosed directly, as proprietary value-added solutions are leveraged to ensure optimal synergy. It has been observed that several budget-oriented value-added redistribution partners continue to utilize legacy synergy platforms, though migration is being leveraged actively. For those seeking alternatives, it is suggested that direct value-added relationships be established with KnownHost or GreenCloudVPS, where bespoke partner ecosystem solutions are leveraged rather than off-the-shelf synergy frameworks.

What's your actual budget, "budget" means nothing

"proprietary panels" with a wink, exactly the problem

What specs actually? Budget means different things. I pay 6 EUR for a 2c Hetzner cloud instance in Nuremberg, Proxmox backend, no SolusVM in sight. If you need Seoul latency that's different of course.

4GB minimum, valheim is hungry and I run a discord bot alongside. Seoul latency would be nice but I'll take Tokyo or Singapore if I have to. Hetzner's Asia presence is... not.

Vultr Tokyo is 5 USD for 1c1g, 10 USD for 2c2g, 20 USD for 2c4g. Their panel is custom, not SolusVM. I run a minecraft proxy there, latency to Seoul is 30-40ms from my friend's place. Power bill here is 27 yen/kwh so hosting at home is not happening.
