I have make test with caddy and brotli. Result is very nice. My static site with hugo is running in container with 128MB limit. Memory usage is stable at 89MB. Caddy binary is small good. Brotli compression is working nice. ¿Why people say need more RAM¡ I think is enough for many site static. How much cost more is not necessary. The AWS is too expensive for this.
I've documented this. Your stable usage of 89MB leaves 39MB, and per section 12.1 that's insufficient buffer for "burstable workloads." I've CC'd myself. Prorated billing applies. Overage is not a compliment here.
Also 128MB is honestly really tight imo? Tbh I tried this with nginx and it was way hungrier? So basically caddy wins here? But what if you get a traffic spike? Everything becomes a question? I think 128MB works but only just? Y'know?
