Exactamente. My baseline is all hours I bid, 6 months. 06:00-07:00 CET I win 34% more often per bid placed. Not absolute win rate. I am not so rich to bid every auction.
One man with alarm clock is not coordinated. Jajaja. But maybe I stop posting data now.

Windows Server 2019 on one of my auction wins. The Contabo Düsseldorf box. €23, 32GB, E5-2630v3. Set it up at 5AM my time because I couldn't sleep. Maybe I'm the sleepy bidder someone else is exploiting.
Does anyone actually use their St. Louis location? I wanted US latency but Singapore ping is better from Manchester somehow.
This. I run a bakery, I'm up at 4AM anyway. My "sleepy bidder window" is 10PM Portland time, which is when I'm proofing dough and browsing auctions. Won a Vultr bare metal in Seattle for $29 last month. Not exploiting, just awake when others aren't.
Routing weirdness. BT backhaul to US hits congestion at Ashburn. To Asia they peer at LINX then straight to PCCW. I've seen it too.
This is the interesting phrase. In deliverability, "behavioral weighting" means time-of-day is just one signal among hundreds. If Contabo's auction system weights bid velocity, account age, or payment history, then pablowild's 34% could partly be his reputation score, not just the hour. Six months of consistent bidding at 6AM might have trained the algorithm to favor him.
Not saying it's wrong. Saying the experiment has confounds.
This is possible. I have different result: I bid random times first two weeks, lose always. Then I try 6AM CET specifically, three wins quick. Maybe beginner account needs the sleepy window more.
My E46-2680v2 runs Proxmox. €31 is cheaper than my wine.
Following this thread. Tried 06:00 CET today on Contabo, outbid at last second by someone named "serverhunter_de". Extend-by-60 kicked in, we fought 4 minutes, I lost at €47. So much for sleepy.

German insomniac or bot. The extend-by-60 turns sleepy window into endurance test. You need stamina, not just alarm clock.

My homelab electric bill is €89/month. One Contabo auction win at €15 covers the guilt. I run the sleepy bidder script from my Pi at 6AM CET while I sleep. Python, requests, cron. Same as PureEuorg but with spaces because I am not a monster.
Vultr auction has better hardware but Contabo has cheaper bandwidth. For seedbox use, Contabo wins.

From Zurich I see different pattern. Contabo's Nuremberg and Munich auctions have slightly different price curves than Düsseldorf. I track because BGP peer in each. 6AM CET is good, but 6AM CET on Tuesday is 12% better than 6AM CET on Friday. Weekend bidders plan ahead on Friday night.
Small sample, 4 months, 23 wins. Not significant. But I keep logs.
