Funny incident I demo'd a client site on my adult content shared IP

I cannot believe this happened to I the client meeting was going so well and then the portfolio site loaded and the neighborhood content popped up in the browser tab I wanted to die but I kept a straight face and said it was a testing environment issue

Oh no! Did you test your restore? Because this is exactly why the 3-2-1 rule matters for reputation too — one copy of your clean demo, two different hosting environments, one offline backup of your dignity. 😊

  • Dedicated IP for client demos
  • Hosts file preview before screen share
  • Test restore of your professional reputation

My clients have had similar issues on premium shared hosting, my clients always get premium dedicated IPs for demo work now, anything about the server config just open a support ticket with my team we handle it premium

$3/year. 128MB RAM. Pure happiness.

We have seen this before in our operations. One colleague presented a cached redirect to a competitor during a pitch. The client was understanding, but we now enforce isolated preview environments for all external demonstrations.

Yesterday I buy already new IP for demo, cheap cheap only, my server-server all have clean IP now, no more problem, before I use shared IP and the neighbor is gambling site, very bad already, now I go premium
