Hostinger posted Job Advertisement for Senior System Administrator. Listed Infrastructure: single E5-2680v4, 256GB RAM, 12x4TB SATA. Please to calculate: 5000 cPanel Accounts advertised on same Website. This is 51MB RAM per Account if all active, not counting Overhead. I contacted Hostinger Sales, received no Response. Please to share Opinions.

  • 5000 active = impossible
  • Dormant math: if 80% dormant, 1000 active = 256MB each still tight
  • My cheapest box does $2/GB RAM, they're charging $0.50/account. Something dont add up

Crowdfunding audit? Im in for $20

5000 accounts on one E5 is not overselling, it's a powder keg. Mark my words, Hostinger will either collapse or "restructure" within six months. I've seen this movie twenty times. The job posting is the confession.

I've seen this movie too. E5-2680v4 can't hide the math forever

51MB per cPanel account is not a hosting plan, it's a countdown

The math isn't hiding. It's screaming. 14 cores, 28 threads, and they're slicing it 5000 ways. That's 0.0056 threads per account if you're generous. I don't care how good your CloudLinux cage is, when the WordPress cron jobs align on the hour that box is going to sound like a jet engine and perform like a potato.

Hostinger has datacenter in Singapore, I am using from Osaka. My site loads okay but I never checked how many neighbors. Now I am worried.

Tuesday 2 AM UTC. Every cheap host I've ever monitored dies then. The cron alignment is real and it is brutal.

But here's what I don't get. Phoenix datacenter is on their list. That E5 spec is maybe $300/month colo if you're bad at negotiating. At $0.50/account you need 600 accounts just to break even on the hardware. The real question is how many boxes they actually have versus how many they advertise.
