Ordered a VPS from Hostinger on May 8, 17:00 UTC. Website says "instant setup". : my monitoring detected zero ping at 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, and so on until 07:00 next day. 14 hours. Support ticket at hour 3: "fraud check, please wait". Hour 8: "escalated to senior team". Hour 12: "approved, provisioning now". No transparency on what triggered the check. I used same payment method for 2 years with them. The status page showed all green during this. Alert fatigue from false greens is worse than no status page. I want to know: who else experienced this, and did escalation to billing or social media help? I need structured data for my provider comparison sheet.
Hostinger 'instant setup' took 14 hours and support blamed 'fraud check'
My "instant" is 9 hours. I write to support and they say "fraud check" too. It is possible to do that? I don't understand why they not tell before. Mdr
I escalate in Twitter and they answer fast after that. The social media team is more reactive than ticket system 😅 Maybe try that, friend.
KIDDO LISTEN UP. THIS SHITF HAPPENED TO ME TOO WITH HOSTINGER. 16 HOURS. I SHITF YOU NOT. FRAUD CHECK MY ASS. I POSTED IN THEIR DISCORD AND A MOD FIXED IT IN 20 MINUTES. THE TICKET SYSTEM IS BROKEN. NEVER AGAIN KIDDO!
I have same problem with Hostinger last month. 11 hours for "fraud check" check. Very frustrating
IP was not assigned until I email billing directly. Maybe this help you sir. Good luck
- Instant setup is marketing lie
- Fraud check is blanket excuse for
- Manual review queue because
- They oversold automation
- Social media escalation works because
- Public shame costs more than
- Actually fixing ticket system
I backordered a premium .io during this Hostinger outage. Their .io pricing is criminal btw. You people trusting instant setup from a provider with .host TLD on their own domain? I would backorder a better provider. UDRP your expectations.
Same here with Hostinger, 6 hours and zero explanation from support
Did the fraud check actually take 12 hours, or did they forget?
Good question. I think they forget until you poke them. My theory: the "fraud check" flag drops you into a bucket that nobody monitors unless you complain loud enough. The "senior team" is probably one person in Vilnius who checks email twice a day.
I have timestamps. Hour 3: "please wait". Hour 8: "escalated to senior team". Hour 12: "approved, provisioning now". So 9 hours of actual silence between first response and resolution. The 12-hour mark is when they finally acted, not when the check completed. My guess is the check itself was automatic and cleared at hour 1, but provisioning queue was manual.
Adding this to my sheet: Hostinger VPS setup = 14h median, 6-16h range from this thread. Social media escalation reduces to ~20m (svendeal) or fast (lucgone). Ticket system is black hole.
