Not a VM. AX42 dedicated. 64 threads, I was saturating 1 Gbps with video encoding output. Hetzner cloud would have melted. Dedicated is where "unmetered" lives.
Hetzner "unmetered" - anyone burned yet?
Ah dedicated! I look at cloud only. Maybe cloud have limit and dedicated no limit?
Cloud has soft limit, dedicated has AUP limit. The difference is one you can measure and one you can argue about in a ticket.
I have 3 Hetzner cloud instances, 12 Contabo VPS, rest scattered. Hetzner cloud CX11 hit 8 TB once, no issue. Contabo Seattle node crashed twice under same load. You get what you pay for except when you don't.
Following this. I am deciding between Hetzner cloud and Vultr for a seedbox-ish project.
I think Hetzner's AUP has something about file sharing platforms. Vultr does not care until abuse complaint. Different risk profile.
Not that kind. Linux ISO mirror for a university club. Legal but bandwidth heavy.
Linux ISO mirror is exactly what Hetzner's AUP covers, from memory — they don't allow file sharing platforms. I would not risk it. OVHcloud or a real CDN like Bunny or KeyCDN.
