Hetzner suspended my reseller account with zero warning

To be honest, I saw this coming. Specs of the mess:

  • Shared reseller account at Hetzner, "unlimited" tier
  • Client used phpList with default config: 300 msgs/batch, 1s delay
  • No rate limiting on SMTP relay
  • IP 198.51.100.44 now on Spamhaus CSS, SORBS, UCEPROTECT3
  • Hetzner suspended account at 23:47 UTC, zero prior warning
  • Client's domain + my main reseller domain both listed

From what I remember, Hetzner's ToS has something about no bulk email, but they don't really define what that means. As said, their abuse page mentions "reasonable limits" without numbers.

Community splits on this. I want the account back first, reputation second. Has anyone appealed Spamhaus CSS with a shared IP? I need the exact template, not generic advice.

The client's list is 8 years old, double opt-in, 0.3% complaint rate historically. To be honest, the volume spike was my fault—migrated them from Mailchimp last month to "save money."

Rate limits are a pipeline | input is trust | throughput is reputation | output is deliverability | your client piped 12K into /dev/null | grep lesson | sort -u | wc -l | 1 | no period
