Sorry not sorry! But look: their price drop is from competition pressure, not necessarily death spiral. OVH exists since 1999 and still races to bottom. My point is 1yr lets YOU adapt, not them. You keep optionality.

Wait. You have backup automation? Then risk is even lower. Real cost is migration labor, not money lost. Prepay becomes cheaper if your time has value.

Salam from Jakarta! I am small reseller, maybe different perspective. Contabo actually very stable for my clients, but I never sell prepay more than 1 year to customer. Too much headache if problem. Ronwit if you want save money, maybe you ask their sales for 2-year price? Sometimes not advertised.

But back to topic: my homelab cost analysis says prepay only makes sense if discount > 30% AND you have offsite backup. Your 1GB plan is €4 monthly normally? 3yr at €2.47 is 38% discount. Borderline.
