CloudCone. Where I am now. So far stable.

LA only datacenter, single point of failure. Fine for a blog, but if you're this stressed about uptime, maybe not the final answer.

You're right. I'm not calling it final. I'm calling it "stop moving for six months and see if my blood pressure recovers." Different thing.

InterServer. Billing system bug double-charged me.

I had this with a French host once, not InterServer. Took three months to resolve. In France we have chargeback rights with the bank, I used them. Support became very fast after that.

RackNerd. Network fine, control panel abandoned.

Still on SolusVM? I left them when they were. Heard they moved to something else but too late for me.

They were on Virtualizor when I was there. But the panel version was old, PHP warnings everywhere, and the last security patch was from 2023. Felt like a ghost ship.

RackNerd prices are hard to beat though. $12/year VPS. You get what you pay for, but for a backup MX or a dev box, fine.

In Brazil this is nothing. I pay more for lunch. But the dollar conversion, the IOF tax, it adds up. Still cheap.

By who? I missed this.

No idea. The announcement just said "new ownership, same great service." Then prices doubled and my plan was "grandfathered" until renewal. Classic.
