So I bought this HGST from Hetzner for 400$ and it dies in 18 months, meanwhile my shucked easystore from 2019 still goin strong. Teh enterprise grade my ass. No smart warnings nofing just dead one morning. I sent ticket to Hetzner they say out of warranty period sorry. My shucked drive was 80$ and outlived it 3x already. You figure it out he says. Refuse to buy enterprise again ever.

Sent ticket yesterday to KnownHost for similar issue! They replaced without problem, but was only 14 months. Made test order with them after that, actually. Your HGST model was Ultrastar? Heard some batches had firmware bug, not sure. Cheers!
