Dear sir/madam,

Users must reset. Prepare your support queue.

Kindly note that we have prepared the following mitigation:

1. 30 days advance notice to shared hosting clients
2. Password reset portal with video guide (Kannada, Hindi, English)
3. WhatsApp support for tier-1 queries

The JetApps tool is under evaluation only. Kindly advise if open-source alternative exists for bulk cPanel to DirectAdmin migration.

Thank you very much,
Priya

I am reading this and I do not understand most of it. I have two websites. Bakery and flowers. My host in Cardiff uses cPanel. They sent me an email saying prices go up. Do I need to do something? I just want to update the cake photos.

Is there a simple option for people like me?

In Seoul many small business owners use hosting company managed service. You pay more but they handle panel. Naver Cloud Platform has this. For you in Cardiff, maybe check if your host offers managed DirectAdmin or you stay and accept new price.

cPanel price is host's problem until they pass it to you. Ask your host: "Will you absorb the license increase?" Some will for small accounts.

You do nothing. Your host decides. If they raise your price, ask them if they have a cheaper plan. 47 sites is my problem. Two sites is not worth a migration.

Mr Whiskers agrees. He is sleeping on the warm router now.

Following this thread closely. I run a small reseller operation in Germany. Hetzner server, cPanel license. My calculation: cPanel now costs more than the server itself. This is absurd.

I am testing HestiaCP on a second Hetzner instance. Falkenstein DC, CPX31, EUR 13.60. So far stable. One week uptime.

Falkenstein is where I am. Well, Tallinn, but my Hetzner stuff is in FS. Network to Russia is worse since 2022 but that does not affect most of you.

HestiaCP 1.8.11 has a bug with PHP-FPM pools on Debian 12. Check their GitHub before you deploy. Fixed in 1.8.12. I learned this the hard way on a Friday night.

if it ain't broke, rust it

Added to spreadsheet row 8. Thank you.

Current status:
- Test Hestia instance: Ubuntu 22.04 instead
- 8 client sites migrated successfully
- 39 remaining
- Projected completion: August 15
- Dignity level: slowly recovering

Lisbon here. I run BGP for a living, not hosting panels. But my brother has a carpentry business with a WordPress site. cPanel reseller account. I told him to ask his host about LiteSpeed cache because the site loads like a 56k modem in 1998.

Host said "we are evaluating alternatives to cPanel." No timeline. No details. This is the real problem. Uncertainty. At least with a price you can decide. With "evaluating" you wait and pay.

This.

What was the final verdict on DirectAdmin bulk pricing? I saw EUR 29 and EUR 59. Is there a EUR 199 tier? I need ~80 accounts.
