Keep AWS. SAP certs are for consultants who wear suits. AWS is what you actually use.
Certifications: worth it if you're self-taught?
80% resale on voucher? Point me to that forum. I flip AWS vouchers like sneakers.
@Joy which forum you selling? I got panel clients asking for AWS cert guys, maybe I buy direct.
Same. I did AWS SA-Pro after getting filtered three times. Fourth application got me interview. Causation? Who knows. But the pipeline opened.
Four servers here, all AWS t3.micro and one Lightsail. Certs matter less when you own the stack and the client is your cousin's restaurant. Different game.
UK gov contracts filter by SFIA levels, certs are bonus points not gatekeeping. My shed runs Proxmox, no AWS in sight. Bristol tech scene cares more about what you broke and fixed.
Following.
Same here. Self-taught from Manila, got CKA last month after 6 years K8s. HR at local outsourcing firm finally stopped asking about my "relevant degree".
Actually @tomchan SFIA is interesting, I did not know UK uses this Framework. Actually in Germany we have DIN standards for everything but not for DevOps hiring. Oder? Maybe I should write one. Actually no.
This.
