Question already answered probably but: Hel, what UPS you running? Because breaker trip with 450W load on spinning drives, that's unclean shutdown city. ZFS survives, but scrub after every trip gets old.
Also: OVHcloud Gravelines, you said 35ms. I'm getting 45ms to Sydney from Canberra, Vultr. Different path. Just curious if you tested alternatives.
APC Back-UPS 650VA. Not enough runtime, enough for graceful shutdown. USB to Proxmox, NUT configured. Tested once. Worked.

Margin thinner than I admitted.
Tested latency: OVHcloud Gravelines 35ms, Hetzner Falkenstein 28ms, Vultr Frankfurt 32ms. Stuck with OVHcloud because VPS already there, migration effort. Lazy.

Hel: you said "interpreting loosely" about lease. I said same about "no smoking" in my Berlin rental. Vaped for three years. Moved out. Full deposit. Landlord never entered.
But fire risk is real risk. Not deposit risk. Insurance void if they find server farm in closet, probably. Check your policy. Or don't.
Server hider here. Literally my name. Two tips:
One: noise covers noise. Run bathroom exhaust on same circuit as something loud, washing machine or dishwasher if adjacent. Pattern of sound, not constant hum. Landlord hears constant hum, asks questions.
Two: inspection month ahead? Photos of closet with door closed. Server behind winter coats. Works every time.

My addition: OVHcloud S3-compatible storage, you mentioned price jump. Was using it for backup? Because if TrueNAS mirror is your live data and OVHcloud was backup, price jump hurts. Backblaze B2 different pricing, same function, no European datacenter though. Netherlands closest via CDN.
Also: 128GB DDR3 per machine. Where? E-waste pile had that much? Or added after? Because DDR3 ECC reg, even used, that's money. Curious.
No European DC. Data stays EU, personal preference. Considering Wasabi but their minimum retention policy annoys. Sticking with OVHcloud for now, eating increase.
Mixed. Two machines came with 64GB, upgraded from e-waste pile same source. Third came bare, bought RAM separate. Total cost still under one new mini PC. Finnish e-waste is generous if you know when university clears labs.
Humidity sensor arrived. Reading: 41%. Fine. Summer worry remains.
