Four months is excessive. To be fair, have you tried their live chat rather than tickets? Some providers prioritize real-time complaints.

That said, "system error" for a recurring charge is usually a broken cron job they won't admit to. Document everything for your bank.

Chargeback threats work. They always work. The processor fees hurt them more than the refund. Threaten public post. Then follow through. Social media pressure changes "system errors" to "sincere apologies";

I had similar with a provider in Singapore. Public thread on their own forum got resolved in 48 hours. Contabo may respond faster if other customers see.

Asia-Pacific hosts usually value reputation more. Consider posting to their status page comments or TrustPilot equivalent before chargeback, as chargeback can blacklist your payment method across resellers.
