Anyone tried HostBros $9/year plan?

Has anyone here had experience with the new annual plan from HostBros? We are always evaluating options for small projects and the $9/year price point is certainly attention-grabbing. I would appreciate any firsthand accounts before we commit a client site to their infrastructure.

I tried it for three months! uptime was 94 percent which is terrible!! Support took four days to answer! Never again!!

I ran a small static site there for a while, IMO the panel is decent and support responds eventually. YMMV on uptime though, @Blaze's experience tracks with what I saw in monitoring threads elsewhere. One thing to note: take it with a grain of salt, but their TOS has a hidden clause about "sustainable usage" that kicks in around 100GB. After that, speeds drop hard. They do not advertise this clearly.

94% uptime is rough for any paid host.

Gravelines, France. Ping to my Sao Paulo friends was 220ms+. Fine for web, garbage for gaming.

Gravelines? That's OVH range. HostBros is just reselling OVH KS-1s with worse support, calling it now.

Do you have the exact TOS language? I looked at their site last week and the public terms just say "fair use" with no hard number. Would help to know if this is current or they changed it.

I don't have it verbatim, it was a PDF I downloaded in May. The phrasing was something like "sustainable usage patterns will be maintained to ensure community quality" and then a footnote about 100GB/month being the threshold for review. Could have changed since.
