That's the part that gets you. The invoice keeps processing, the site loads, you stop looking. My longest untouched box was maybe eight months on InterServer before I got paranoid and cycled the keys.
Did you ever check that load average? Or are we going to get a year-two update where the monero finally bought someone a coffee in Minsk.

That's the line that got me. I used to run a KnownHost box the exact same way, three years untouched. Static site, mail relay, the works. Never had a problem until the day my provider null-routed it for participating in a DDoS. No warning, just gone.
I only found out because the domain expired and someone emailed my personal account. The VPS itself? I couldn't even SSH in to check logs. Support ticket took two days.
Kei_osa if you're still around, did you ever verify that Gitea instance isn't exposed? Default port plus 500 days of unpatched Git feels like a very specific kind of time bomb.
This still lives rent-free in my head.

True true. My friend RackNerd server finally kena full wipe last month. No backup also. 2 years of git repo gone just like that.

I need to know: did you ever check that load average, kei_osa? I had a CloudCone box go 400 days untouched and it was clean when I finally looked, but the paranoia after reading threads like this is real Still running it or finally pulled the plug
