ARM box as home server replacement: 6 month report · VPS Hosting

Has anyone tried the new Hetzner ARM64 dedicated auction servers? CAX11 is cloud but they had some Ampere boxes in auction last month, €34/month for 80 cores. Overkill for home but I was tempted to split it with friends.

Late to thread but — emalite asked if anyone got better numbers. 15% is low because you tested budget hosts with no margin. Try OVHcloud dedicated or Hetzner auction servers, discounts exist but cycle slower.

Also: KnownHost definitely IP flags. Tried twice from same IP, second time no email at all...

Ngl ivan if you can frame it as "managed bare-metal fleet provisioning" it hits different lol. LLMs dont care if its a $5 box or an H100 cluster, inference is inference

Has anyone actually had a provider enforce the crypto mining clause against folding@home or similar? Hostinger's wording is vague but I wonder if anyone has tested it.
