This. I was going to post the same. The $35 is not ICANN fee, not registry fee, it is Contabo fee. You can transfer out and pay market rate elsewhere.
My only caution: check if Contabo charges a transfer-out fee. Some resellers do. Not ICANN-allowed for the auth code itself, but they can charge "ad...
