In Bangalore I pay for bandwidth twice, once to ISP and once because cloud egress is not free. Mesh direct means my Pi in Chennai talks direct to my Pi in Hyderabad, not both via some VPS in Mumbai. This matters for my wallet.

So OP asked Contabo or scam, and answer is: Contabo delivers what cart says, Hetzner sometimes does not, and we are all now checking our servers at midnight. Good thread.

I moved from Contabo to Hetzner Cloud last year. The difference in compile times for Go binaries was roughly 40%. Same core count, newer architecture. CXL and faster memory helps.

Bangalore to Ashburn is 220ms. Not Hetzner's fault but makes the $1 tier useless for anything interactive here. I stick to Singapore DCs for APAC work.
