Hey folks so heres the deal. Client hit us up like "your managed wp update broke my custom theme" and im super stoked they came to us first instead of just rage-tweeting. But real talk: our "managed" means auto security patches, not major version bumps. Gonna clarify that everywhere now. My bad for the confusion. We restored from backup in 20 mins.

42U and still growing

Wesh InterServer ! Le service حلو incha'allah but "managed" means what exactly ? Chez Hostinger c'est pareil, confusion total ...

Staging. Always. Test. First. Never. Trust. Auto. Updates.

The terminal has commands for backup, no? Before any update, server good with snapshot. InterServer should make this DEFAULT, no? Not option. The customer has theme CUSTOM, is OBVIOUS risk. No?

Ran wp sites on gen9 dell boxes, 1U each, 85W idle. Moved clients to GreenCloudVPS managed layer last year. My hardware guys sleep better. But the policy gap InterServer admits here? Thats 2-3 engineering hours to fix docs, 0 rack units. Do it.

What wp version tripped the theme break

Docs gap is the real bug here
