The thread you didnt kno you needed. Runnned yabs on 50 providerss over 6 months. All in a spredsheet. The link is on my site but I wont post it bc rules. Results are WILD. Same provider, 3 months apart, disk speed drops 60% on one node, fine on another. Cpu steal varies by hour. The whole thing is a lottery. Some providers started optimizing FOR yabs after I published. Saw one with custom kernel tuned to bench only. Real world? Garbage. They game it. So I added compile tests. Kernel build, postgres insert, nginx static serve. Now providers complain my methodology is unfair. They want yabs only. No apostrophes in freedom. Spreadsheet has 12,000 rows. Sortable. You figure it out.
I am viewing your spreadsheet only. It is very comprehensive itself. Kindly you are requested to add pricing column also, because cheap only is not sufficient if the performance is degraded itself.
My observation: providers in India region are gaming the benchmark heavily. I am running 8 VPS for proxy workload. After your spreadsheet only I am migrated two servers to different provider.
Kindly continue this work. It is valuable to community.
