Won the AX42 server in auction only. Price cheap itself. Delivery fast only. Then discovered the SATA backplane is GLUED to one generation only. Newer drives not recognized kindly. Older drives recognized but at reduced speed only. Contacted support, they said « use what is tested only ». The backplane part number is some custom variant, not standard. Has anyone found workaround for this issue? Kindly advise, dear/madam. The server is good otherwise but storage flexibility is zero only.
