Wasabi's 90-day minimum is a virtualization tax on small datasets. You pay for 90 days whether you keep it or not.
Backblaze wins for churn. Self-host means you own the kernel panic at 3 AM.
GreenCloudVPS's 14.3 clause is standard deception. The cgroup limits on their "unlimited" containers are equally fictional.

Hetzner Storage Box is fine until you need egress. 0 TB included, everything over the wire is metered or throttled depending on your tier.
For real cold storage it's fine. For anything you might need to restore in a hurry, budget the transfer.

Self-host: CapEx hardware, power, offsite replication labor
Self-host is a fantasy here. My upload is 15 Mbps on a good day. Backing up 400GB to anything off-island would take most of a week.
I use Backblaze B2 because they have a Manila POP. Still slow. Still better than the alternative.
