Wkwkwk I can understand this feeling thank you. For me is Studio Ghibli, I watch Spirited Away maybe 30 times already. Slow-slow become comfort, like eating warm food lah. When I feel stress from work I put on and can relax. My indonesian friend say this is terapi but I dont know thank you for sharing.

wrap it, ship it, pray it

Comfort movies are real

For me it is the film 'Amélie'. I have seen it perhaps 120 times. Voilà, I cannot explain why, but when she breaks the crust of the crème brûlée I feel something in my chest. Is it hosting for the soul? Perhaps. We all need our rituals.

Paddington 2. IMO it's genuinely excellent, but YMMV on whether 200+ viewings is defensible. I started watching it with my niece, then alone when she outgrew it, now it's just... there. Take it with a grain of salt, but I think some films reward repetition in ways that resist explanation. The prison scene with the marmalade sandwich. No notes.

1. Primary guilty pleasure: "The Core" (2003), approximately 40 viewings.
2. Cannot defend on cinematic merits.
3. Specific appeal: precise 2h 15m runtime fits exactly one RAID rebuild.
4. Aaron Eckhart's speech about "hackers in space" is technically inaccurate in 14 distinct ways.

Recommendation: schedule comfort rewatches during predictable maintenance windows. Reduces cognitive load.

It's always DNS. Always.
