Yes. Four years now. The catch is no managed anything, no SLA worth the paper, and support is business hours German time. We run our own monitoring and accept the risk.
€3.79 is the old price. CX11 is €4.51 now. Still absurd. We spend more on coffee.

Hetzner's T&Cs changed in 2023. No crypto mining, no "excessive" bandwidth, they define excessive. GDPR makes them careful but also quick to suspend. I keep backups elsewhere.
Belgium perspective: our regulator cares where data sits. Hetzner Germany is adequate. US providers are a compliance headache now.
This thread answered my question before I asked it. Was going to post "is Contabo still good" but apparently not for 512MB.
The 4GB+ plans are fine. 512MB and 1GB are the oversold tiers everyone regrets. Their storage VPS line is actually decent for backups if you need cheap disk.
I have a 400GB storage box in Nuremberg. €2.99/mo. Slow but it holds my restic.
52 VPS and we're calling it infrastructure. I love this forum.
