Hetzner's T&Cs changed in 2023. No crypto mining, no "excessive" bandwidth, they define excessive. GDPR makes them careful but also quick to suspend. I keep backups elsewhere.
Belgium perspective: our regulator cares where data sits. Hetzner Germany is adequate. US providers are a compliance headache now.
The 4GB+ plans are fine. 512MB and 1GB are the oversold tiers everyone regrets. Their storage VPS line is actually decent for backups if you need cheap disk.
