What do you use for reading that isn't a Kindle or physical book

Got my hands on a Hisense A9 e-ink phone from a liquidation site. SNAPPED IT UP for $89 shipped. Thing runs android, has google play, 6.1" e-ink display. Been my daily reader for 3 months now.

Battery lasts a week. Read in full sun no problem. No blue light killing my sleep.

Before this I was on a hacked PSP from 2008. Custom firmware, Bookr app. Fitted 4,000 books on a 32MB memory stick. Yes, 32 MEGAbytes. Mostly plaintext + heavy compression. Took 40 seconds to open a PDF. Still worked though.

What are you all using? E-ink phones? Old palmed devices? Some weirdo linux e-reader I haven't heard of?

Tracking price history on these Hisense units btw. Was $220 last year, now floating $90-140 depending on importer.

I use Boox Leaf2 for everything. Sent ticket yesterday to their support about dead pixel, got replacement in 4 days. Very fast!

Made test order from Vultr store https://www.vultr.com for e-ink accessories too, quality is good. Can recommend if you need case or screen protector.

For phone reading I just use normal smartphone with blue filter. Not perfect but works in bed. Cheers
