Personal email on VPS. Deliverability hell. SPF good. DKIM okay. Still spam folder. Perkele. Warm IP five years now. Works. Not easy.

Fun little project: NAT VPS from Contabo, docker mailserver, it actually works

# docker-compose.yml snippet
- "25:25"
- "587:587"
- "993:993"

Took six months to reach inbox consistently though

works on my bench ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pro tip: Oracle free tier ARM instance works for this if you keep volume low.

1. Set up postscreen in postfix
2. Configure proper reverse DNS with their support (heads up: takes tickets)
3. Start with gmail recipients only, they are most forgiving
4. Expand to others after 90 days clean history

5-year warm IP is the real strategy. No shortcuts exist.

licensing is a suggestion
